Originally the host of the 1994 Asian Dunhill Masters (where Nick Faldo set a course record 63) and named one of Asia's top five courses by Fortune Magazine in 1997, Bali National Golf Club underwent massive renovations before re-opening in 2013. Designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright with a Hawaiian flair, the premier course features pristine Paspalum turf, scalloped bunkers, elevated greens, and stretching over 7,100 yards from the championship tees.

Its location at the southern tip of the island sits near elite luxury hotels and is just a 15-minute drive from Bali International Airport via a 4-lane tollway.

Two Distinct Landscapes

The course seamlessly blends two contrasting styles of geography across its 18 holes:

• The Front Nine (Hills & Terraces): This segment climbs through rugged hills lined with lush tropical jungle foliage, offering sweeping ocean vistas on almost every hole. Hand-built stone walls terrace the fairways and tee boxes to mimic Bali's iconic rice paddies. The longest challenge here is the massive, 600+ yard par-5 7th hole, which relies on unique terraced hazards rather than standard sand traps.

• The Back Nine (Lakes & Palms): This flat loop winds through groves of coconut trees and an interconnected network of artificial lakes. It builds to a dramatic finish, concluding on an excellent dogleg-left 18th hole that gives clubhouse spectators front-row views of incoming approaches.

Signature 17th Hole

The penultimate hole stands out as Bali's answer to the legendary 17th at TPC Sawgrass. This highly intimidating par 3 forces an exacting tee shot directly onto a stone-walled island green, where any miscalculation results in a watery penalty.

Course Protocol: To keep pace of play smooth and comfortable on this championship layout, shared golf carts are mandatory, and each golfer is paired with an individual caddie.
