Positioned directly adjacent to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng Golf Club is a premier choice for travelers looking to squeeze in a round before departing without battling Jakarta's notorious city traffic. The upscale clubhouse serves as a luxurious alternative to a crowded airport departure lounge, allowing players to relax comfortably right up until their flight.

Cengkareng boasts a rich tournament pedigree, having hosted prestigious professional events like the European Tour's Indonesian Open in both 2005 and 2008—the latter won by legendary golfer Colin Montgomerie.

Layout & Playability

Designed by Walter Raleigh Stewart, the course stretches to a manageable 6,300 meters from the championship tees. While highly accessible for high handicappers, it remains a stiff test for low markers when coastal winds blow in from nearby Jakarta Bay.

• Man-Made Contours: Built on naturally flat terrain, the course relies on expertly sculpted, man-made mounding to create rolling fairways, unique elevation changes, and occasional blind approach shots.

• Forgiving Fairways: The fairways are strategically bowl-shaped, helping funnel wayward tee shots back toward the center. Even if players miss the short grass, wide-open corridors allow for easy recovery shots from adjacent fairways.

• 4th Hole (Signature): A high-stakes par 4 forcing a precise carry over a lagoon to a narrow peninsula green that is heavily bisected by a prominent central ridge.

Elite Service & Clubhouse Amenities

Hospitality Highlight: Cengkareng is widely recognized as having some of the finest hospitality in the capital region, driven by an elite, all-female caddie corps and smartly uniformed restaurant staff.

• The Experience: Golfers enjoy a seamlessly managed day on the links, paired with a vibrant, top-tier dining experience overlooking the property.

• The Verdict: Combining exceptional service, a championship pedigree, and an unbeatable location, it is the quintessential destination for a pre-flight round of golf in Jakarta.
