Since opening in 2005, Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Club has established itself as one of Thailand’s premier golf destinations. Nestled in the mountains east of Chiang Mai, the course enjoys a spectacular setting surrounded by rice fields, plantations, and panoramic highland scenery. Built on the former hermitage site of the revered monk Kuba Sivichai, the resort benefits from a tranquil atmosphere, cool climate, and stunning natural surroundings.

Designed by renowned architect Lee Schmidt of Schmidt-Curley Design, Chiang Mai Highlands quickly gained international recognition, earning numerous accolades including Best New Golf Course in Asia, Best Value for Money Golf Course in Asia, and Best Golf Resort in Asia.

The 27-hole championship layout offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities, with five tee options, immaculate Paspalum fairways, and fast, consistent TifEagle greens. More than 130 strategically placed bunkers, undulating putting surfaces, and thoughtfully designed approach areas reward creativity, precision, and sound course management.

The round begins with a scenic downhill opening hole showcasing sweeping mountain views, while standout holes include the demanding par-4 4C and the memorable finishing par-5 18th, where risk-reward decisions can create exciting scoring opportunities.

Complementing the course is a traditional Thai-style clubhouse, practice facilities featuring a 300-yard driving range and short-game area, and a boutique on-site resort with private cottages for golfers seeking an immersive countryside retreat.

Combining championship golf, exceptional conditioning, and breathtaking scenery, Chiang Mai Highlands remains a must-play course and one of the finest golf experiences in Thailand.
