Located in Thailand’s northeastern Khon Kaen province, Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club features one of the most unique origin stories in golf. The site originally served as a waste disposal area for the adjacent Singha Beer brewery. When the local marshland could no longer handle the distillery's runoff water, the owners creatively repurposed the land and water to build a world-class golf course.

Shortly after opening, it hosted the Asian Tour’s 2009 King’s Cup and has since become a premier, recurring fixture on the professional circuit.

Course Design & Championship Challenges

Measuring a massive 7,502 yards from the championship tees, this par-72 course is set amidst natural reeds and vibrant local red grass, offering a formidable test for elite golfers.

• The Landscape: The 18-hole routing flows through a network of 9 lakes and features fairways that follow the natural contours of the land, decorated with native trees, shrubs, large sand bunkers, and natural rock formations.

• Hazards & Strategy: Water comes into play on 16 holes, making tactical course management and precise execution far more valuable than raw distance. The putting surfaces feature fast-rolling Bermuda grass with subtle, tricky breaks.

• Standout Holes:

  • 13th Hole (Par 3): An exceptionally difficult, long short-hole where walking away with a bogey is considered a good result.

  • 7th Hole (Par 5): A shorter, risk-reward hole that is reachable in two shots. However, the green is fiercely guarded on all sides by water, sand, and trees, demanding absolute precision.
