Located about 40 minutes north of Yangon, Yangon City Golf Resort (YCDC Golf Club) features two contrasting 18-hole courses that famously hosted Asian PGA Tour events in 1998 and 1999. The first layout, Ngwe Thaw Tar (Silver Course), opened in 1994 and stretches 7,000 yards across a flat, forgiving plain that is ideal for average golfers. In contrast, the shorter 6,208-yard Myakantha Course, opened in 1996 and designed by former Asian Golf Tour executive chairman Kyi Hla Han, offers a much tougher challenge with tight fairways and large overhanging trees that demand precise shots. Meticulously maintained and considered a must-visit destination, this resort provides an excellent experience for any golfer traveling to Myanmar.
