Located within the Sentul City residential development, Sentul Highlands Golf Club (formerly Mentari Golf Bukit Sentul) is a Gary Player design situated about an hour from Jakarta and 30 minutes from central Bogor. Built in 1997 across hilly terrain, the 6,500-yard Bermuda grass course features panoramic views of the Bogor foothills and Mount Salak.

Layout & Key Strategies

"The Black Knight" designed this championship course with multiple tee boxes to accommodate all skill levels, emphasizing precision over raw power.

• The Demands: Tight landing zones and blind fairways make target selection off the tee difficult, though well-trained caddies help minimize errors. The greens are generally small, subtly sloped, and heavily protected by deep bunkers.

• 5th Hole (Handicap 1): A grueling uphill hole that demands a long drive down the right side of a blind fairway. The second shot plays steeply uphill to an elevated green guarded by a deep front bunker, requiring significantly more club than usual.

• 12th Hole (Signature): A short but deceptive par-3 characterized by large rock formations lining the fairway and a green entirely encircled by bunkers.

• 14th Hole (Par 4): A dramatic downhill dogleg-right with a tight landing zone. Players must drive down the left side—avoiding flanking rock pilings—to set up a downhill approach to a tricky, two-tiered green.
