Course Evolution & Strategic Layout

The course originally opened in 1996 with a traditional, flat Japanese design featuring an out-and-back routing. Over time, the layout was extensively renovated with new water features, sharp doglegs, and optional island greens to elevate both the variety and the risk-reward challenge. Today, natural streams and reservoirs flow dynamically across the fairways into surrounding lakes and ponds.

• The Front Nine: Plays across higher elevations, treating golfers to panoramic views of Nagoya City, the Batam coastline, and the distant Singapore skyline.

• The Back Nine: Features a flatter landscape but contains the course's two most memorable holes:

  • 8th Hole (Par 3): A beautiful short hole requiring a precise carry over water to a green framed by ornamental rockwork.

  • 9th Hole (Par 4): A grueling, lengthy finishing hole split in two by a running stream roughly 250 yards from the tee. Walking away with a par or bogey here is a highly respectable result.
